Das zwanzigste Jahrhundert war das kriegsreichste Jahrhundert in der Menschheitsgeschichte. Beginnend mit den Balkankriegen in den Jahren 1912 und 1913 – um es zynisch zu formulieren, die Ouvertüre zu den bevorstehenden kriegerischen Großauseinandersetzungen im zwanzigsten Jahrhundert – wird das Attentat von Sarajevo am 28. Juni 1914 auf den österreichischen Thronfolger Franz Ferdinand und seine Gattin der Anlass für den Beginn des Ersten Weltkrieges und den daraus folgenden Zweiten Weltkrieg bis zu den Balkankriegen von 1991 bis 1999. Das dritte Jahrtausend hat mit einer Reihe gefährlicher militärischer und terroristischer Aktionen begonnen, die das friedliche Zusammenleben der Menschen und Kulturen im einundzwanzigsten Jahrhundert intensiv gefährden. Krieg in jeder Form bringt keine Lösung bestehender Probleme. Das zeigt uns das zwanzigste Jahrhundert.

In the history of mankind the 20th century was the century with the biggest numbers of wars. Starting with the wars at the Balkan in the years 1912 and 1913 – the overture for the upcoming of big wars – the assassination of the Austrian-Hungarian Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife on 28th June 1914 at Sarajevo was one reason for the start of World War I and the follow up of World War II and the continuation till the war at the Balkan from 1991 to 1999. Now the 3th millenium started with a lot of dangerous actions done by terrorists and military. These actions done by armed forces are dangerous for a peaceful living together of people and cultures in the 21st century. Every kind of war does not solve any problems. That we learned from the 20th century.

Dvajseto stoletje je bilo v zgodovini cèlovesètva najbolj bojevito stoletje. Zacèensèi z balkanskimi vojnami 1912 in 1913, ki so bile, cèe se izrazimo cinicèno, uvertura za blizèajocèe se spore v dvajsetem stoletju, je bil atentat na avstrijskega prestolonaslednika Franca Ferdinanda in njegovo zèeno v Sarajevu 28. junija 1914, povod za prvo svetovno vojno, kateri je sledila druga svetovna vojna in tja do balkanskih vojn od 1995 do 1999. Tretje tisocèletje se je pricèelo z nevarnimi vojasèkimi in teroristicènimi akcijami, ki mocèno ogrozèajo mirno sozèitje ljudi in kultur v enaindvajsetem stoletju. Vojne, v kakrsènikoli, obliki ne prinasèajo resèitev za obstojecèe probleme. To nam je pokazalo zèe dvajseto stoletje.

Mai come nel ventesimo secolo la storia dell‘umanità ha conosciuto tante guerre. Si comincia con la guerra dei Balcani del 1912-1913, cinicamente definita “l’ouverture” dei successivi conflitti bellici del ventesimo secolo, e l‘attentato del 28 giugno 1914 all‘erede al trono austriaco Francesco Ferdinando e alla sua consorte. Questo evento segnò l‘inizio della Prima Guerra Mondiale, seguita poi dalla Seconda Guerra Mondiale e dalla più recente Guerra dei Balcani che durò dal 1991 al 1999. Il terzo millennio è iniziato con una serie di pericolose azioni militari e terroristiche che mettono in serio pericolo la convivenza pacifica di uomini e culture nel XXI secolo. Ma la guerra, in qualunque forma, non porta ad alcuna soluzione dei problemi esistenti. Ce lo insegna il ventesimo secolo.
