| The vision of artistic expressions
is part of the phenomenon of language and culture;
movements of the human body; movements and actions of the human body;
movements and actions of the human body in the artistic space. All of
this is included in the Sign Language of the Deaf, a minority language
in all countries. The hearing majority identifies this language as an
exotic one, but fails to understand that the Sign Language is not only
another language; in its composition and structure the language is a
“Language in Space” as the mother of all languages. All artistic expressions
can be found in the Sign Language. This fact is reflected by the festival
program, which presents performance including themes about film, circus,
and poetry. And for the first time ever a presentation of visual arts
is part of the festival program.
And Deaf Theatre can also reflect the situation of today in artistic
projects. That can be seen in the productions “Disease War” and “Wings”
